C++ Workshop - 22 Feb 2016

Requirements:

Bring you own computer with the following setup:

  • Ubuntu 14.04
  • Network access to install additional packages.
  • ROS indigo installed [follow instructions in http://wiki.ros.org/indigo/Installation/Ubuntu and install the "Desktop-Full Install: (Recommended)." ]

  • Wiki on Github with instructions and materials
  • The COURSERA course is highly advisable as a preparatory step.
  • Also, the online C++ tutorial has detailed information on the language

C++/ROS Workshop - 16/19 Feb 2015

Date and place: 16 Feb, 9:00 (C++), 19 Feb, 9:00 (ROS), LAR

Requirements to attend:

  • Be a dissertation student of LAR, or contact vitor@ua.pt otherwise.
  • Have a computer with Linux installed (ubuntu 14.04 LTS)
  • Have openCV installed (normally included in ROS)
  • Have ROS Indigo installed ( for the ROS session only)

Instructions and preparation for the ROS session

  • After having installed ROS, carry out, at least, the first 11 tutorials as described in the website
